Steven Killfoil:

Cross Roads Podcast for those who want to be in the know. Good morning crossroads. This is your host, Steven Killfoil. And on the show today is owner manager of access complete wellness in Plano, Texas. Dr. Lynn mirallas. Thank you for coming on the show today, Lynn. Thank you for having me. Elaine is going to be sharing with us on all about her and her husband, Keith, amazing health and nutrition business and the wonderful services that they offer for our area. Lynn, would you tell us a little about yourself, and how you and Keith developed access complete wellness.

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Thank you so much, Steven, it's such a pleasure to be here. And I appreciate the opportunity to tell you a little bit about what we do. And I actually am the daughter of a surgeon and a nurse. And so the medical world healing was kind of in my blood, literally. And I always wanted to be a doctor. And actually, I wanted to be a veterinarian first. And then I had a grandma, my step grandma who said, raised in an orphanage, right she was and she said Why would you be putting all that time into school when you could be helping people? Why would you put time in to help pets? And I thought, well, I like pets. But anyway, so then I decided, okay, I'll be a people doctor, because I was always a kid who kind of listen to advice. And then my father, who absolutely could not stand the health insurance business begged me not to be a doctor. He said, I love what I do. But I hate the insurance companies. And I just can't do that. And so long story short, God has his his way of bringing us back around. And I ended up studying business instead. But when everything was said and done, I now work. In the health and wellness business, I actually use mostly a modality called Body Talk. And that helps me work with not only people but pets too. And so how we created access complete wellness is after a very long career in the health insurance business of 27 years of all things. I left it, I early retired and I started and my natural empathy business which has been going for many years as well. And why we started access complete wellness is because we wanted to help people have access to health care, and access to tools that they weren't getting access to to help them with everyday health.

Steven Killfoil:

That's amazing. So how long have you all lived in Texas?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Okay, well, Keith is a native Texan. So I'm allowed to be here now because he's a native Texan. And I married him. I moved to Texas from Philadelphia when I was nine years old. So I got here as quick as I could. And I love Texas, and everything about it. And that's how long we've been. And we've been pretty much in the Plano areas where I grew up. And and then Keith got to, to Dallas A little while back before we got married, so he showed up pretty quick on the scene. Excellent, excellent. on your Facebook page, which is facebook.com forward slash Len mirallas nd that's LYNMORALESN. De you show many events that you offer throughout the year. Would you tell our listeners a little a bit about your events? Sure. And just to clarify, it's naturopathic doctor. So N D, as opposed to M medical doctor, it's a naturopathic doctor. So we offer many events throughout the year. Particularly, we're gonna talk about a couple of the big ones in a moment. But for the most part, each month, what we offer is we're about education. And everything we do is about education, because what I learned in my journey is that education is what taught me that, that maybe I needed to look at things a little bit differently with my health and my own health issues are what turned me to be a naturopathic doctor. And so, when we look at the events that we offer, we've got a few this month. One is a free webinar on Parkinson's Disease. Another one, and that'll be on the on the 16th. Yeah, January 16, at 7pm. That's on our website. And then on the 23rd, we're going to do a pain free party. And I know you're going to be in attendance at that. And yes, indeed, anyone in pain show up for that. But those are some examples of the types of things we do each month. Great. Well, what is your favorite event to host? Well, let me tell you about what's coming up April 12, through the 14th in Plano, at the Plano, granite Park Hilton. It's called the changing life and destiny conference. And the gentleman behind it, Al Purnia. He and I met about four years ago. And what we found is that we had a very similar mission. And the mission was that corporate wellness programs weren't helping people get over diabetes, get out of pain, helping with cardiovascular disease, they just weren't getting the help that they needed. And I knew that from my 27 year career in corporate health insurance, I saw the programs and I saw that we really weren't making a great impression on people. And so the changing life and destiny conference, that was birthed to not only meet the needs of the public, but also practitioners. So what we're doing is, we're actually the model clinic behind it. And what we do is we bring technology to this large venue where practitioners can purchase the technology, but all the participants, the public can try the technology at the conference. And what happens is, they actually get to see the difference where they can have a before and after change in their health that's noticeable. And what happens then is they pair up with practitioners that are around the metroplex, that have some of these tools that can further support them back to health. And so that's what we'll be doing on April 12, through the 14th. Great. What do you like most about event planning, what I like most is that mostly, I have no phenomenal events coordinator. I call her super Stephanie. And she actually is behind the planning for changing life and destiny, she does a phenomenal job. She is just a three person team that puts that together. And so what I like is most often, while I give a lot of you know, feedback and input, I kind of can just show up. And that's what I like best to do what I do best, which is have the event not have to plan at all.

Steven Killfoil:

Perfect. So do you specialize in any specific kind of event?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

There's a couple of things that we do. Again, the changing life and destiny conferences is an annual event. We do these smaller events called expos. And the expo is a much smaller, more intimate setting where it features not all these many, many vendors, I mean, we'll have probably 800 to 1000 people coming to the changing life and destiny conference. And there'll be a couple 100 vendors. But when we do these expos, they're much smaller events. Steven and so what we're what we're we're moving is at that smaller event, it takes a lot of time to to get people there to set up to you know, break it down. And to offer people an opportunity to have some of that hands on. What we're starting to play with is something called the metaverse the the changing life and destiny clinic metaverse. And so what that is, is it gives people the opportunity to be in their own home to talk to some of our vendors, it actually is like a model of my clinic. And inside there. If you want to learn more about our weight and nutrition programs, you'll be able to sit there and talk to one of us who's who's dressed in our little avatar. If you want to learn more about healthy cooking, there'll be a lady there talking that you can talk to about that. If you want to learn about medical tourism, or you know different tools like that brain tap all these different tools, we'll have them featured, and people can watch it and be there in the comfort of their own home, and probably move better in their avatar than their own bodies. So this is true, this is true.

Steven Killfoil:

Well, what are some of the challenges you face when actually planning the event? Even though you have an event planner working with you? What are some of the challenges that you actually face?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

So I would say usually, it's making sure we have enough help. And and properly, organizing it from the very beginning that we're advertising well, and letting people know about it. We've had to learn that over the last few years that this this major conference is coming up in April change in life and destiny. We've, this is only our third time to do it here in Dallas. It's been done to other times in Beverly Hills. And so what we've had to learn each time is when's the right time to advertise? Where's the right time, you know, where's the right venue to advertise. And then actually getting it set up where our clinic moves over there for the three day weekend. And, and then having the right people there to talk to about the products. That's probably the biggest challenge. But as far as what usually goes with a conference that size from since the first one we've done here in Dallas, we had about maybe 250 people come through this, that was year one, year two, we were up to 800, we totally planned to be selling out of the Plano granite Park Hilton this year. And that's been you know, the thing is, you know, we don't have an issue with even bringing in vendors, because every vendor from the first year knew that our audience was special, they knew that our audience was smart, and that these were people coming and saying, I want to learn more about how to help my health. And when those vendors saw the kind of the caliber of people from our area that we brought to the conference, they all signed up at the end of the conference, they were at and said sign me up for next year. And so the usual issue is bringing in vendors, no problem.

Steven Killfoil:

Great. That's a good problem to have.

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Exactly.

Steven Killfoil:

Yeah, marketing. Marketing will make you or break you.

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Yeah, you're absolutely right. And I look forward to coming to this one. Hopefully, like I said, I gotta check the calendar. If that's open, I'll make sure to mark it and we're planning on definitely going forward. 10 all you guys out there listening on this. You definitely want to do that. You do that by going to changing life and destiny.com. So changing life and a nd destiny.com. You heard it and the ticket if you go and do it early. Now you can get it early pricing it 99 bucks. You can't beat that no not for a three day event. And you'll actually get to see the speakers that are already set for it. It is a gigantic venue you guys need to understand it is the first day is Friday is masterclasses. So you learn about and this is what your $99 gets you an all day ticket into masterclasses where people are training and teaching on various topics. One lady teaches an all day event on the wellness Pro Plus. And you can learn from her all day about how that helps with pain. And so each of those events is just amazing. Yeah, folks, I don't want to hear that. Oh, 99 bucks. Listen, I'm getting ready to go to Orlando Universal Studios, two tickets, one for me one for my wife, three days. $911.76. So 99 bucks, baby, that is a deal, you need to go well, and we also that gives you a three day pass. And you'll actually get to hear speakers all throughout the two weekend days. So that we were running about eight conference rooms at a time. And beakers are talking for 20 minutes at a time and all the different rooms. But then you also get a video recording of the speakers. So on top of being there, and filling up several pages of notebook paper with notes, you're gonna get the video, so you can go back to it later on with your notes. And if you missed something while you were writing the notes, you can still capture it with the video or exactly or if you completely missed a class because you were in another class, you can still get get to the class folks. 99 bucks. Come on. Let's do it. Let's do it. I think you want me to raise the price. No, no. Okay.

Steven Killfoil:

All right. Well, when Mady and I met you for the first time it was through a referral from Dr. Cortes here in Cross Roads for a saliva test that she wasn't using. I was impressed with your clinic and the positive energy we felt while visiting you the first time. So what is your inspiration?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Thank you for asking our inspiration is to help people get well without medication without surgery. And so many times when I work with people, Steven, what's most important is to ask myself, Is this how God intended the body to work? And so if somebody comes in and says I'm about to get this surgery or that now remember, my dad was a surgeon, I got nothing against surgery, there's a time and a place for it. But if they're coming in to say, I'm just gonna chop off all this fat right here on the front of my belly. That is a very bad, very bad decision to make. Because certain things are irreversible, and they'll cause scar tissue and much more significant problems later. So our inspiration is to help people understand and get educated and the only way and that's where that's that was my journey. I grew up in an allopathic medicine model, my dad's answer to an issue was he cut it out? He was a general surgeon. That's what he did. I'm now learning how can I help that gallbladder before it has to come out? Because what people don't understand is that a gallbladder, yes, you can live without it. But it has a purpose. And so just like a tire on a car, I can go down the road on my wheels, but it's a lot smoother on the tires. And that's how digestion works between the liver and the gallbladder.

Steven Killfoil:

Oh, yeah, definitely, you and Keith really support your patients. What advice would you give our listeners who want to find out about how to improve their overall health, but really just don't know where to start?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

One of the things I would do is and something that we offer is a free health assessment. We call it your WICO score. It's it's just like a FICO credit score. But it's actually your wellness index. So it's a WICO score, and we offer it for free. And what people can do is we can get access to it off of our website. And then what happens is they get an actual score, just like a credit monitoring range. And so what happens is, let's say your credit score, you know, you think it's relatively good, but maybe it's a 640. And maybe it's not as good as it could be. But then you do your Waikato health assessment score, where we go through 15 functional health markers, and you're answering it online. So we're looking at cardiac kidney digestion, hormones, stress, food intolerances, all that's included. And basically it's like $200, with the labs without having to pay for labs or give blood. And when you get that score, let's say, your score turns out to be a 547. But your credit score was 649, you thought your credit score was bad. Now you have a baseline and you can say, Oh, my health is much worse than even my financial health. I had no idea. And that's the purpose. And we help people turn that around with our nutrition plans in five weeks.

Steven Killfoil:

That's great. So what are some of the ways to contact access complete wellness for an appointment?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Well, one of the things is to go learn more about us would be to go to access, complete wellness.com. So access complete wellness.com Our email address would be info at Access complete wellness.com. And then also, our phone number is 972-712-0892.

Steven Killfoil:

Great. Well, do you have any new years specials running to help encourage those who may be up to the challenge?

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

Absolutely. We are super excited about what we're offering. So for the usual person, weight loss is on their mind right now. So we are offering anywhere from 30 to 50% off on our weight loss programs right now. We also are rolling out a couple of new things that I could not be more pleased with. One of them is a detox program, which will help you lose weight at the same time. And it's a three week detox the first week is detoxing liver and gallbladder. The second week is detoxing kidney and bladder. And the third week is detoxing the lungs and the large intestine. And let me tell you, there's a lot of respiratory issues out there today. And that's why I'm so excited to be able to offer that. And then one other program we have that's coming out this year is a special hair follicle test where we will then we actually send it to Germany where that information is scanned. And what happens is we get custom supplementation. So what we learn is that Steven might be having certain system issues in his body. And we'll learn that oh, he might need more biotin or he might need more. He might need more walnuts or he might need to eat more carrots, right? And we actually customize through a pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy, we customize his supplement pack. And so it literally your supplement pack would be different than your wife's because it's literally going to say oh, like you know Steven needs, you know, the old commercial two scoops or raisins instead of one. Whereas his wife might only need one right? So I'm not talking about raisins, but I'm talking about literally things like walnuts, things like pumpkin stuff like that. And it's literally mixed in a pack unique for you. Well, that's great. And I'll tell you folks out there, Maddie and I have been on there program for weight loss since August of last year, we have lost 30 I have personally lost 33 pounds Maddie is lost about the same. And it's a healthy weight loss and it's staying off. I've lost two inches on my waistline. So it works. So get a hold over make that appointment, let's start your new year off, right.

Steven Killfoil:

So what would be your best advice for 2024 strengthen your immune system.

Dr. Lynn Morales ND:

What I see happening to people there's an awful lot of respiratory things. And I mentioned that already. But we as a human race have really taken a hit with COVID. And the damage is done. It has whether if you've had COVID Or you've gotten vaccinated, either one, the damage has been done. And the best you can do is avoid getting it anymore. I Amen. I agree with you 100%. And they're talking about it on the news all, you know, the RSV, COVID-19, whooping cough, all these things and they're hanging on and staying in longer, they're going to go get the vaccine course we all know better that we're not. So you know, there's much better alternatives to fixing that. I tell you, there's a brand new product and because I myself was was dealing with that cough that everybody's got. And so part of these detox programs, there's a phenomenal little bottle, and it's called VBM stands for virus, bacteria mold. And what it is, is you actually use it in the nebulizer, and we're gonna start carrying it at the office who already got a shipment on its way that actually after I was dealing with it twice, for a few weeks, got over it, I thought, got it again a few weeks later, it's kept hanging on. I nebulised one time with that stuff. And I was coughing while I was nebulizing. I mean, it's some powerful stuff, but 12 hours later, so much better. And I just was shocked at it. And so and it's from a doctor who has traveled all over the world and he knows how to put medical and functional medicine together. And I'm very, very blessed to know Him and to have his knowledge at my fingertips now.
